Inspiration: The secret garden!
Shikha Chauhan | Jul 6 2009

Italian designer Ilaria Marelli specialized in product, exhibition and interior design has come up with an inspirational installation. Hailed as ‘The secret garden’, this lavish installation is a symbiosis between the natural element, the artifact and stylized expression of nature. The chief entrance is designed as an artificial and notable flowered hill that covers the front wall of the Lyceum. The hills are colored in vivid sunny yellow and are dressed with white kite petals. The white petals give an amazing appearance like the beautiful field flowers with the move of the wind. The central area of the pavilion section has a big green lawn with little yellow hills which gives a magnificent sensation of a park. The re-arrangable kite-petals can be formed into vaporous white clouds which move freely in the sky-ceiling like blown out dandelions. The side rooms are disposed with diverse vegetal landscapes that reminds of a botanic garden. Featuring a cactus room which has a big succulent plants immersed in a sand beige carpet, Zen garden and a bamboo forest which stands on a coconut fiber floor add a prosaic beauty to this garden.
